Patriots And Falcons Headline Sunday With Superbowl LI Rematch
What many consider to be the greatest game of all time, Super Bowl LI was a spectacle to see for a fan of football and sports in general. As we all know the Patriots were down 28-3 against the Falcons midway through the 3rd quarter. What went on to transpire happened to be the greatest comeback of all time considering the circumstances and the Patriots are now defending champions getting ready to face the Falcons again.
Sunday night’s match up will be one to watch with loads of talent and good coaching on both sidelines. It will likely not be a historically great game like the Superbowl was but it should still make for an exciting contest as two top 5 offenses will be looking to flex their prowess as they have not met their 2017 expectations up to this point with the Patriots defense ranking 32nd and the Falcons having just lost two straight home games to the Dolphins and Bills.
However, both have the same goal of improving every week in pursuit of winning a championship. Anything less is a bust.
Bill Belichick is currently 4-0 against the Falcons with the Patriots, Belichick has been able to game plan well against the Falcons and is hoping for the same outcome this time.
Matt Ryan has struggled this season throwing only six touchdowns versus six interceptions.
Rob Gronkowski is healthy after missing the previous matchup during Superbowl LI.
Julio Jones is back for the Falcons after missing some time this season, they will be trying to get him going again.
Patriots could be without starting cornerbacks Stephon Gilmore (concussion) and Eric Rowe (groin) for the second straight week leaving the team thin at corner.
The Patriots have given up 26, 20 yard or more passing plays this season. Falcons big play offense will be looking to exploit that stat.
