Patriots Win Record Tying Sixth Super Bowl

The Patriots won another Super Bowl I’m dramatic fashion, defeating the high powered Los Angeles Rams by a score of 13-3. This is their sixth title in franchise history, tying them for most all time.

It wasn’t how everyone expected, but New England came out with a win. In a defensive showdown, the Patriots shut down a Rams offense that was second in the NFL in most offensive categories. New England held the Rams to less than 300 yards of offense in their victory, proving that defense really does win championships.

The Patriots defense was brilliant I’m the victory. They sacked Goff four times in crucial situations and had consistent pressure all game long. They also had brilliant pressure against an extremely tough group of receivers. New England’s defense was criticized all season for being old and slow. Tonight they proved that they can hang with the best and the fastest in the NFL.

New England’s offense didn’t have a great game. They only managed 13 points, and couldn’t put together consistent drives. But in the end, they did enough to win. Tom Brady threw for over 250 yards, one touchdown, and an interception in the victory. He wasn’t his usual perfect self, but he came through when it counted the most.

Julian Edelman cemented his Hall of Fame legacy with 10 catches for 141 yards, powering the Patriots offense when it needed it the most. Rob Gronkowski also proved that he’s still an elite tight end, catching six balls for 87 yards in the team’s victory. New England’s running backs also led the way with over 150 yards on the ground against a fantastic defense.

In a year that everyone was against them, the Patriots defied the odds. Age, talent, and style were all against them. Yet they found a way to still be the best team in the NFL once again. Congratulations to the 2018 Super Bowl Champion New England Patriots.
