As has been mentioned via various sources Antonio Brown was on the sidelines this past Wednesday and missing altogether from Thursday’s effort as ESPN reported he was sent back to Pittsburgh for further evaluation. His hamstring is the reported issue.
Other publications are reporting it’s not serious and that Mike Tomlin expected him back quickly.
Riiiiight. When was the last time you got sent “back to Pittsburgh” for further medical evaluation for something minor?
This may very well be precautionary in nature, however with most injuries flying is not a good thing as it tends to increase swelling. Ergo having him waiting a day or two before hitting the friendly skies made sense from that perspective. The thing is there were plenty of highly trained medical personnel on site that could diagnose and treat strains, pulls, etc. To be clear, there is something there they needed to look at VERY closely.
Hopefully, it all comes to naught. We will watch this closely.
