Rams vs Giants – Broncos Lesson Fresh
The LA Rams travel east this week to take on the New York Giants this Sunday at 1 p.m. on FOX locally. The GMen have won one contest so far this season and have so many guys injured they don’t have to worry about declaring inactive players for the game. It’s that one win that should have the Rams worried.
The win was in week six and came at the expense of the Broncos IN Denver right after Giants head coach McAdoo had suspended CB Dominique Rogers-Cromartie for basically blowing up at the coach over losing. As I mentioned then, McAdoo was/is fighting for his job and will pull out all the stops to try and repair his fractured locker room. He came down with both feet on DRC because he knew if he didn’t, it was over.
The Giants played focused football and even though they were working with a totally new starting WR trio and a patchwork offensive line they took it to the Broncos in their house.
Flash forward to today. McAdoo has just suspended DRC’s backfield mate Janoris Jenkins as the player issues continue as the loses mount. The Giants have talent across the board on both sides of the ball even with the injuries. However they have some critical issues (offensive line and LB) that other teams are keying on that is costing them games. IF at any time the team gets motivated, focused or inspired, look out. They are dangerous with a two-time winning Super Bowl QB at the helm.
The Rams are the better team on paper and in reality. But if they bring anything less than their best effort to New York it will be a quiet jet back to LA after the game.
