Johnny Manziel Signs Contract to Play Football
This was an easy story to get the jump on as Johnny Manziel himself seemed eager to share the news that the Canadian League team that held his rights, the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and he had come to terms:
Made the decision today to sign my contract with the CFL and further my football career after a long break. Very grateful for everyone that’s been supporting me along the way. I believe this is the best opportunity for me moving forward and I’m eager for what the future holds.

It’s been two years since Jonny Manziel threw a football and got paid for it. It’s been a long road back from a very public self-destruction. From all reports, his recovery is for real. He’s put in needed work both in his personal life and in preparation for returning to football on the field. He’s just 25 years old and has the potential for a nice career in the CFL and perhaps, a return to the NFL as well.
