2017 Free Agency First Wave
The first wave of the 2017 NFL Free Agents is underway and for those wanting “splash” moves for their teams, it was not lacking. As a matter of fact, the splashes yesterday should have been prefaced with yells of “cannon ball!!”
The Cleveland Browns went all NBA in the NFL by purchasing a second round pick in exchange for their cap space. On paper it was $16 million in salary for a second and sixth round pick. Osweiler can’t complain, but his ego has to be severely bruised.
The Philadelphia Eagles finally got a real wide receiver for their stud QB to toss the pill at. They also got a speed merchant to compliment him. They had nowhere to go but up. The only bad move they could have made would have been none.
Cornerbacks, safeties, defensive ends, quarterbacks, offensive linemen and linebackers were all on the move yesterday. Other than running back and special teams every position group had big contracts thrown their way. It was a busy day.
NFL Draft analyst Connor Livesay and Analyst Steven Van Over break down the days moves, what they mean and give you insight on what to look for as the second wave of signings gets ready to reach shore.
You wanted to get caught up on NFL free agency? You came to the right place.
Robust, straight to the point and with no holds barred host Steven Van Over puts forth the hard questions and gets straight answers from Connor Livesey who is not afraid to share the wealth.
