With the Dallas Cowboys Training Camp less than 10 days away NFL Rushing Leader Ezekiel Elliott has reportedly been in an altercation at (where else) a bar in Dallas Sunday night.
According to The Fan’s Mike Fisher, “the Dallas Cowboys are aware of a situation with Elliott that took place at Clutch Bar on Cedar Springs in Dallas.”
With mere hours before training camp starts players are asked to do two things. Stay in shape and out of trouble.
If you are Head Coach Jason Garrett who so far this offseason has received news of free agent CB Nolan Carroll’s DUI, David Irving’s PED suspension, Damien Wilson’s gun charges and (of course) Randy Gregory being MIA due to his love of whacky-tabacky he has to wonder what he’s done to upset the NFL gods.
Wesley Snipes in the cult classic Major League perhaps best put the situation in perspective.
Camp kicks off the 25th in Oxnard, California. The Cowboys have to have their fingers crossed they have enough players left on the roster to field a complete squad on both sides of the ball. At this point it certainly doesn’t seem like the club will be starting the season on all cylinders.
