You can file this one under the “please say it ain’t so” label, but unfortunately, what little we know does seem to check out. With a history of domestic violence on his record and a seemingly hacked Twitter account spouting accusations left and right it’s not looking good for David Irving at the moment.
Jobin Panicker of WFAA in Dallas-Forth Worth is the first reporting the news
#BREAKING @FriscoPD confirms it is investigating serious allegations against Cowboys player David Irving. No arrests. Assault-Bodily Injury, Unlawful Restraint, & Assault-Impeding Breath and Circulation @wfaa

As of this writing, there has been no reported arrest. That’s where the positive spin stops. Irving had domestic violence charges filed against him at Iowa State that were eventually dropped. From a now-deleted tweet from his Twitter account ( @Caliboy_95) someone stated that the woman “did this exact same thing at Iowa State.” Later that tweet was deleted and a new thread of accusations that seem to be pointed at Irving were posted. A person went on to mention “the woman” several more times on Twitter. We posted a graphic snapshot of this rant below as I don’t believe the tweets will be up long. They were approximately 7 hours old as of this writing yet they are still up. For now.
Irving is innocent until proven guilty and the saga played out with dropped changes last time these two parties had this dance. I was unable to get confirmation of the details from Frisco PD at this time however it’s late in the day in big D.
I am certain Cowboys Nation and the NFL front office will be keeping a close eye on this as events unfold.
