Jason Witten Retires – Cowboys Nation Takes A Knee

In a move most were now expecting after the recent leak that Jason Witten had received multiple offers from the media  Todd Archer is reporting it’s official, Witten took the gig at ESPN.

As the cliche goes, when a player is thinking about retiring, he’s retired, ergo this was a smart move. I personally wish him the very best and thank him for the many, many years of excellence, leadership, passion and pure entertainment he brought to the field every time he stepped on it.

Many will choose to lament his lack of a Super Bowl ring. In my opinion, that’s a conversation for another day. Now is the time to take a moment, appreciate the man and his accomplishments.

It was one hell of a ride.
