Bears Center and Left Tackle Get the Call
Cody Whitehair and Charles Leno Jr. are the newest additions to the 2018 Pro Bowl roster. That makes eight representatives for Chicago, the most since 2006. The Bears only had five players selected to the prestigious game in the previous four seasons. Their playoffs might be over but their future is bright moving forward.

Whitehair was a second-round pick in 2016. He is the first center selected since Bears mainstay Olin Kreutz got the call in 2006. He started every game at center in 2018 including the playoffs. Whitehair helped contain some of the best interior linemen in the NFL including Aaron Donald (Rams), Ndamukong Suh (Rams), and Fletcher Cox (Eagles). He is currently under his rookie deal that expires in 2020.
Leno Jr. is a seventh-round pick under former GM Phil Emery in 2014. He has become one of the most consistent blindside tackles in the NFL. His value against the leagues finest pass rushers was defined after earning a four-year $38 million deal in the off-season of 2017. He is also known for proposing to his fiancé Jennifer Roth at midfield following a win over Green Bay. That victory clinched the NFC North division.
Together, they have one last opportunity to protect their quarterback Mitchell Trubisky in 2018-19. This time against other superstars at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, FL.
