What is up Buccaneers fam! Another week down and another opponent downed. The Buccaneers are now 2-0 with wins against the division rival Saints and the defending world champion Eagles.
This past weekend the Buccaneers stayed hot in Tampa, as DeSean Jackson burned the Eagles on the first play of the game for a 75 yard touchdown that paved the way for the Buccaneers victory over the reigning champs by a score of 27-21. By the end of the first half Fitzpatrick had the Bucs up 20 to 7 thanks to two more touchdown passes – a 75 yard toss to second year tight end OJ Howard and an eight yard strike to second year wide receiver Chris Godwin. In the third quarter Fitzpatrick threw a touchdown to star wideout Mike Evans and the Buccaneers jumped out to a 27-7 lead. The Buccaneers did not score again but were able to hold on to the lead and secure the win.
This week the Buccaneers face the Steelers in Tampa. The Buccaneers are 2-0 and the Steelers are 0-1-1 after losing to the Chiefs this past weekend and tying the Browns week 1. The Steelers are known to struggle on the road but they’ll surely be desperate the get that first win.
Stay tuned because I will be putting out my Steelers versus Buccaneers week 3 preview soon and we can take a deeper look at what needs to happen for the Buccaneers to get to 3-0 on the season.
