Rams Escape Seattle with a Win

The Los Angeles Rams win a close game against the Seahawks 33-31. With a QB sneak on 4th and 1 with less than 2 mins left in the game, Goff sealed the victory for Rams. The Seahawks played some of their best football of the season, just destroying DC Wade Phillips defense. Main story coming out of this game are the injuries to WR’s Brandin Cooks and Cooper Kupp.

This could be a huge loss to the Rams high powered offense if the injuries are serious enough to miss any games. The star of the game was All-Pro RB Todd Gurley, who had another monster game.

Todd Gurley rushed for 3 TDs again and had 22 carries for 77 yards. He was dominating on the goal line looking unstoppable most of the game. My early season pick for MVP is proving just why he is the best RB in the league. Look at what some other athletes are saying about the All-Pro.

Gurley is a one of a kind type of player the Rams knew that and paid him like one. Probably the best decision the franchise has made in a very long time. He is consistently breaking records set by HOFs, Todd Gurley now has 3 career games with at least 3 rushing touchdowns, tied for most in the NFL since being drafted in 2015. Only Hall of Famers Marshall Faulk (6) and Eric Dickerson (4) have more such games in Rams history.-stat via @EliasSports.

The Rams defense lead by DT Aaron Donald and company will look back at this game and breath a sigh of relief. Seattle put up over 370 total offense but was most shocking was the total rushing yards of 190 allowed against this defense. Suh is playing outstanding football the last few weeks recording another sack with 7 tackles. Aaron Donald also added another sack and put pressure on QB Russell Wilson for most of the game. The secondary is feeling the loss of CB Aqib Talib who is out for 8 weeks with ankle surgery.

The 5-0 Rams travel to take on the Denver Broncos who are struggling this season. Now I am not one to look into the future too much but teams that start 5-0 have a 90% chance of making the playoffs. The Rams have scored 30 points in every victory this season. Teams that are 5-0 have about an 18% of making the Super Bowl, I don’t want to get Rams fans hopes up but its time to believe the hype.

The Los Angeles Rams travel to Denver Oct 14th, 4:05 pm
