While it’s not all that surprising, it’s still exciting when a top underclassman EDGE player leaves school early to enter the draft. LSU’s Arden Key announced on his twitter earlier today that he will forgo his Senior season and enter the 2018 NFL Draft.

Key finished his career at LSU with 20 sacks, 24.5 tackles for loss, and 4 forced fumbles. Arden Key is known for his explosiveness and speed off the edge, his long lanky frame (6-foot-6, 250lbs), and will look to put all his traits together to wreak havoc on NFL quarterbacks in 2018.
While he does have some off the field concern, Key is still projected to be a first round pick in the 2018 NFL draft, and one of the top pass rushers off the board in April. He will fit in best as an OLB in odd front schemes, or a weak-side defensive end in even front schemes.
