Dante Fowler

Dante Fowler Torn ACL - Out For Season

There's one every year. First day of rookie mini camp and the headline streaks around the web "Dante Fowler Torn ACL - Out For Season" and you have to wonder what it takes to appease the football gods. After getting the knee looked at the Jaguars have confirmed that this years third overall pick of the 2015 NFL Draft will miss his entire rookie season according to Michael Silver of the NFL Network.

After going down in an awkward fashion Fowler immediately grabbed his knee and had to be helped off the field by two trainers. Fowler is currently tendered at the minimum salary level by the Jaguars and is therefore protected to a degree according to OvertheCap.com. Dante "should" sign his fully guaranteed contract sometime in the near future. There is no getting back the invaluable year of NFL experience however. Only 20 years old the 6'3" 261 lb edge rusher should be able to make a full recovery. Should. Other than his yet to be signed contract there is nothing guaranteed in the NFL.
