The Cowboys are on a four-game winning streak and can all-but sew up the NFC East title with a win over the Eagles on Sunday.
The Cowboys are 4-1 since the bye in week 8 and have some impressive wins along the way. The win over the high-flying Saints last week was one of the best all-around performance the Cowboys have produced in years. If they can keep that form going into the playoffs, they will be a hard team to beat.
The Eagles come into Dallas with a 6-6 record after winning their last two matchups at home against division rivals the Giants and Redskins. The defending champions are starting to look more like the team they were last season. They are just one game behind Dallas and can draw level with a win this weekend.
With a schedule that includes away games versus the Rams and Redskins as well as a home clash with the Texans, this is a must-win game for the Eagles.
No team has repeated as winner of the NFC East since the Eagles did it in the 2003/04 seasons.
It is clearly a wideout division.
The Eagles run home is tough and should pose a number of problems for them.
The Cowboys on the other hand, if they can get past the Eagles this week, face the Colts away, Buccaneers at home and the Giants away. All these are winnable games.
With a win under their belts over the Eagles already this season, Jason Garrett’s men will not be getting complacent. This is a huge game in the season for the Cowboys and they will do their homework to ensure they don’t slip up in this clash.
Dallas holds the edge in all-time games between these two sides, 67-52.
This will be an old fashion brawl between two NFC East rivals. Don’t miss it.
