Cleveland Browns Sign Kareem Hunt

News broke early today that former Kansas City star running back, Kareem Hunt, was signed by the Cleveland Browns. Hunt was released by the Chiefs late November, following a video surfacing of Hunt assaulting a female. The video was surfaced by TMZ and quickly led to the dismissal of Kareem from the Chiefs organization.

Prior to Hunt’s dismissal, he played 11 games this season, picking up some impressive statistics. Hunt had 824 yards, and 7 touchdowns rushing on the season. His rushing yards were paired with 378 yards, and 7 touchdowns in the air. Hunt is the definition of a dual-threat running back, he displays agility, elusiveness, and strength, unlike many others.

Kareem’s suspension has not officially been announced, however, a lengthy game suspension is expected. The Browns are surely set to face a backlash for signing Hunt, as many wanted to see him punished first. The sharp move the Browns made was to fend away other competition, as on the field Hunt is an animal. Cleveland now has a two-headed monster in the backfield, Chubb and Hunt will cause problems for any Defense.

This move also keeps the rights to Hunt after this upcoming season, and he signed on a low salary keeping room within the cap. This summer is another big one for Cleveland, hopefully giving them another step towards success. The acquisition of Hunt specifically on the field is a huge plus for the organization and the fans.
