Chargers @Cardinals - Week 1 NFL Preseason

The Chargers and Cardinals will make the playoffs this season. As a team, Arizona has been transformed from the coach to the quarterback. The Chargers are primed for a great season as well.

Cardinals

This past season the Cardinals were average. Arizona finished at 8-8 and left Redbird fans lukewarm The great fans of the Cardinals want change. Make the Cardinals strong again or Make the Cardinals great again, Redbird fans want a playoff team. One of the most under-ranked fan bases in football is in Arizona.

This offseason the Cardinals heard the cries of the fans and removed Bruce Arians. Steve Wilks is now the coach. Also, Josh Rosen is the starting quarterback. All eyes will be on Rosen in 2018.  Josh Rosen is strong in his confidence. Which doubles the pressure on him. Those wanting him to succeed will be watching, those wanting him to fail will be watching.

If Josh Rosen can manage the game carefully the Cardinals will finish at 10-6.

Chargers

Despite some bruising and bumps from camp in Costa Mesa, this team is totally focused on the task of winning. Philp Rivers will be Philip Rivers. RB Melvin Gordon will be in his fourth season and is already looking ready for the season. Charger fans should not be shocked if Gordon runs for over 1200 yards. Combine the talents of these two along with a peaking defense and the Chargers will be in the playoffs.

The Game

In the first preseason game, it's all about watching the rookies. First-round pick Derwin James will be on the field and so will second-round LB Uchenna Nwosu and third-round DT Justin Jones (questionable with a boot on his ankle). Fourth-rounder LB Kyzer White and fifth-round OC Scott Quessenberry will be trying to show what they can do as well as sixth-round WR Dylan Cantrell (questionable with a bone bruise) and seventh-round RB Justin Jackson (questionable with a hamstring).

Joey Bosa is also questionable and it would be a shock to see him suit up.

That's your playlist of Chargers to keep an eye on.
