Goff Gurley Donald

LA Rams Season Preview

The Los Angeles Rams start the 2018 season with a Super Bowl or bust mentality. The club has all the pieces in place to make history this year. Equipped with a high octane offense and a defense that coaches dream about, the Rams are ready to become champions. The NFC West has improved dramatically this offseason. Every team in that division will look to prove just that against the Rams twice this season. However, if the Rams want to become champions, they will have to overcome any and all obstacles thrown their way.

One of the best ways to overcome obstacles in the NFL is having a franchise quality QB. The Rams have just that in 3rd year QB Jared Goff, who will look to continue his success under head coach Sean McVay’s system. Jared Goff”s impressive stats last season of 3,804 yards passing with a 100.5 QBR along with 28 TDs and only 7 INTs, was far better than his rookie season. With new addition Brandin Cooks added to a decent WR group, Goff will have plenty of explosive weapons at his disposal. The Rams Super Bowl dreams rest on Goff’s shoulders this season …. no pressure.

You can’t talk about the Rams offense without the name Todd Gurley. Gurley signed a huge contract this offseason of 4 years, 57.5 million with 45 million guaranteed. Gurley is a player that has overcome a torn ACL in his junior year at Georgia only to become the best RB in the NFL. That is a type of player you can root for and Gurley won’t disappoint having a 1,000 yards rushing each year since entering the league. Gurley will look to continue his All-Pro play this season with new additions added to help clear the rushing lane. Barely entering his prime, the fans have to be excited to see what’s in store this year. Todd Gurley has all the makings this season to become MVP of the NFL.

When you think back to all the greatest teams in the history of the NFL, the first thing you would think is DEFENSE. Yes, Defense wins Super Bowls. Ask the Seahawks, they lost the Super Bowl to New England because of a defensive play. You say the words 2003 Tampa Bay Bucs and the first thing you hear after that is DEFENSE. The list just continues and the 2018 LA Rams will be a part of that list. The Rams went after it this offseason, making their defense a top priority. Adding players like Suh, Marcus Peters, and Aqib Talib, the Rams defense is going to be a nightmare. Aaron Donald is back after signing his contract and ready to go against Oakland to open the regular season. Having 4 Pro Bowl players on defense, this can easily be one of the greatest defenses in the last decade.

L.A. Rams travel to Oakland, 10:20 PM, September 10th.
