49ers Trade For Dee Ford

Addressing Another Need For The Red and Gold

Yesterday I said the 49ers were not done in free agency and they did not disappoint.

At the time of this writing, the 49ers have worked out a deal with Dee Ford to make it official.

This was needed since Ford was franchised tagged by the Chiefs and technically is not under any contract. But once again the 49ers have addressed a huge need on the defensive side of the ball with getting the much-needed pass rush that was lacking in 2018.

With the 49ers still holding onto the second overall pick in the upcoming draft, they can easily double done and still take Nick Bosa if he’s available. This will you give you Bosa, DeForest Buckner, Solomon Thomas, and of course Dee Ford as your starting front four.

There is still a need in the back of the defense and 49ers fans are holding out for Earl Thomas. But so far it does not seem as if the team has even contacted his camp. Stay tuned to Profootballtalkline for more breaking news as start the new NFL league year.

If it ain’t football news, is it worth reading?
