Sam-Acho-Bears

Sam Acho, Chicago Salutes You

Sam Acho, a two-time Walter Payton Man of the Year nominee and respected member of the Chicago Bears vaunted defense has been released. The 30-year-old locker room leader spent most of last season on the Injured Reserve after tearing a pectoral muscle in Week 4. Acho is a well-respected individual around NFL circles for his community service work. Originally, a fourth-round pick of the Cardinals in 2011 before signing with Chicago.

The move will save the Bears $2.125 million in cap dollars. There is a slight chance the Front Office brings him back on a cheaper deal but as of this afternoon, he has played his last down for the Windy City faithful.

Until next, time stay thirsty and BEAR DOWN! JT out.
